What is a 10-20-30 weekend? It’s simple: 10 km hike on Friday, 20 km hike on Saturday and 30 km hike on Sunday. Sounds easy enough at first, but I’ve added a few challenges in the meantime. Starting with the Streak Running I held back with the hikes for a while. I was still on the road, but mostly only once per weekend and usually only about 20 km. That should change a bit with this weekend, without interrupting my Streak. It was not easy, but doable. Where I was and what I saw, you can see in the following sections.
Still under the influence of the restrictions, we stayed in the nearby area this week. Incredibly, what beautiful corners you can discover here too. Weather-wise, everything was there between spring-like sunshine and cold shadows with snow.
Once again we got another 30 cm of new snow overnight and despite the -8 °C we started to go out hiking around the dam Lehnmühle.
For the weekend snow was announced, however, we are still under the restriction of a 15 km radius in which we are allowed to move. Unfortunately, it looks like it will not work out this year with Saxon Switzerland, the snow and me, but for that we have found a good alternative.
Because of the pandemic, we start this year with a 15 km radius restriction again. Sure, I like to go a little further away to go hiking, but there are always enough things to discover in the near surroundings.
