Still under the influence of the restrictions, we stayed in the nearby area this week. Incredibly, what beautiful corners you can discover here too. Weather-wise, everything was there between spring-like sunshine and cold shadows with snow.
Once again we got another 30 cm of new snow overnight and despite the -8 °C we started to go out hiking around the dam Lehnmühle.
For the weekend snow was announced, however, we are still under the restriction of a 15 km radius in which we are allowed to move. Unfortunately, it looks like it will not work out this year with Saxon Switzerland, the snow and me, but for that we have found a good alternative.
Because of the pandemic, we start this year with a 15 km radius restriction again. Sure, I like to go a little further away to go hiking, but there are always enough things to discover in the near surroundings.
Beautiful places can be nearby too
If you look very closely, you can see a deer on the path.

Despite knee pain I had decided to do the 60 km. The knee was bandaged and as it turned out the least problem within those 60 km. The only thing I did not achieve that day was to stay under 10 hours, but I think even with 10 hours 40 minutes, I can be very satisfied.
After it didn’t work out two weeks ago, on this day a buddy from Bavaria, whom we visited in July to have a hike in the Alps, came to visit us, because he has never seen the Saxon Switzerland before.
Actually we had planned a hike in the Saxon Switzerland for this Saturday. However, since the visit for which we had planned this hike had to be postponed, we decided to go to the Ore Mountains after much discussion and ideas.
