After four weeks of walking abstinence, a 3-week cold and still not well, today I decided to go for a walk in the woods anyway.
Since I did not want to go far, I made a route in the Dippoldiswalder Heide.
Although the cold, fresh air felt very good, I also quickly realized that the flu still tugs at me. Nevertheless, I went on, knowing that there was still a ruin waiting for me.
Passing through the forest on the Hermit Rock, I came to the Barbara Chapel, of which only parts of the outer wall are visible. Nevertheless, the still existing walls show a very impressive structure and with a little imagination one can also imagine how it once looked; before it was destroyed.
Planned were 15 km, but I made only 12 km. On the planned route I stayed only more or less. But that’s the nice thing about hiking alone: you can just go when, where and how you want.
