With a lot of anticipation we went towards the Lusatian Mountains with the hope of finding snow. Everything was actually perfect. The weather was not too cold, snow and very motivated.
Up to Panská Skála everything went well, and I was very happy to see this place. And then somehow everything went south.
As we came a few meters in altitude lower, the snow turned into rain. The restaurant, which was supposed to provide us with new energy, was closed. In order to find something to eat, we had to make a little detour.
After my obligatory goulash, which I still got, we went on. The legs were tired and the head actually didn’t want to go any further. But somehow you have to get back to the car. With a lot of patience (especially from my companions, who had to wait from time to time, thank you!) and time I got further and further. But only very slowly. The last 10 km were almost exclusively uphill, which always takes a little more time for me.
Despite all the hardships that accompanied me on this hike, it was very nice to be out in the snow. How I missed it.
