While on Ascension Day we made a leisurely hike through Saxon Switzerland in the rain, on Saturday we went to try a record-breaking 50 km.

The original plan was longer but at some point we decided that 4h hiking in the rain would be enough. So we cut it short. It was still a nice hike as it was not cold. Sadly the view to Lilienstein was not clear enough, but the mist made it quite mystical.

Saturday May, 15th, 2021, Lusatian Lake District
I set out today to break my old record to 50k. That was until I realized it wasn’t 9h40m like I thought it would be, but 8h19m, 9h13m for 55k. Since someone insisted on taking a break, I just missed the record, but without the break I made it 8h13m33s for 50k and 9h09m56s for 55k. Happy that I made it at all.
